Verse 1
There’s a mountain in Oklahoma,
On the edge of quiet water.
A winding road that climbs its shoulder,
Like time don’t need to hurry.
From my mama’s living room window,
It watched our lives unfold.
Every laugh, every breaking heart,
Every story never told.
Chorus
It saw friendship, it saw love,
Saw the weight we carried on.
Saw the nights we felt alone,
And the strength to carry on.
Children growing, leaving, coming home,
Through the rise and through the fall.
Yeah, we changed —
But that mountain stayed,
The mountain it saw it all.
Verse 2
It saw the hard days and the good ones,
Both living side by side.
Saw silence sit beside us,
When there were no words for tears.
Saw family dressed in black,
Gathered close, then drifting wide.
Goodbyes pulling us together,
Where grief and love collide.
Bridge
And we still go back one by one,
Different reasons, same long drive.
When the world gets heavy,
We climb that road.
To remember we’re alive.
Up there the land goes endless,
As far as the eye can see.
And the wind don’t ask questions,
It just moves through you gently.
Chorus
It saw friendship, it saw love,
Saw the lonely and the strong.
Saw the broken learn to breathe,
And keep walking on.
Healing winds across our skin,
Like they know where pain will fall,
We were held by something bigger,
Just moves us through here.
